Steve Lomasney founded the Show New England Program in 2011 following his playing career. Since the program’s inception, under Steve’s guidance we have sent over 150+ athletes go on to play college baseball as well as developing 11 MLB Draft Picks. Steve coaches our 17u Showcase Teams and is the lead on our college recruiting process. Steve also spends time as an assistant coach on the Peabody High School Varsity Football team as well as being the head coach of the Peabody High Varsity Softball team. In the fall, Steve manages the Boston Red Sox Scout Team that participates in the Perfect Game WWBA World Championships every October.
Steve played 12 years of professional baseball after being selected in the 5th round of the 1995 MLB Draft by the Boston Red Sox. He was named the Red Sox minor league player of the year and the Red Sox top prospect in 1999, making his MLB debut later that year. Steve also played for the Baltimore Orioles, Cincinnati Reds, and Minnesota Twins.
